Composite Fencing Details

Composite fencing brings the same recycled wood and plastic composite used across our decking range into your garden boundaries, giving a consistent, modern finish that pairs naturally with composite decking.

Each panel is built from horizontal composite boards with a dual-faced smooth texture, so the fence looks equally finished from both sides — useful where a boundary is shared with a neighbour or faces onto a garden from more than one angle. The boards are fitted using aluminium top and bottom rails for a clean, straight run.

Composite Fence Panels are available as a Full Panel Kit, which includes an aluminium post for building a new fence run from scratch, or as Panel Only, designed to fit into an existing concrete post. Graphite Grey is available now, with Teak and Charcoal Black launching soon to give a wider choice of finish.

Full Panel Kit (with Aluminium Post)

The Full Panel Kit includes everything needed to install a new fence run, without sourcing separate posts or fixings.

Each aluminium post can be fitted Above Ground, fixed to a base plate on a hard surface such as a patio or existing decking, or Sunken Into Ground, set directly into soil or wet concrete. Above-ground installations include the expanding bolts, screws and base plate needed to fit the post securely; sunken installations don’t require this fixing kit, since the post is set directly into the ground.

What’s included in this kit:

• Fencing boards (quantity varies by height — see Step 3 for details)
• 1 x Aluminium top rail
• 1 x Aluminium bottom rail
• 1 x Aluminium post
• 1 x Post cap
• Above ground only: expanding bolts (x4), screws (x4) and a base plate

Extra Post Kit: every continuous fence run needs one extra post to close off the end, which isn’t included automatically in any individual kit. If you’re fencing more than one run in a single order, add the number of extra posts you need in Step 4.

Panel Only (for Existing Concrete Post)

Panel Only kits are designed for anyone replacing boards on an existing concrete post, without needing a new post supplied. The kit includes aluminium ‘U’ channels that fit into the post to hold the boards in place — no post is included, since one already exists on site.

Composite Fencing FAQs

What are the main advantages of composite fencing over timber? Composite fencing is made from a blend of recycled wood and plastic rather than freshly sourced timber, and generally needs less upkeep than a traditional wooden fence, since it doesn’t need staining, painting or annual treatment. It’s also lighter to handle during installation than solid timber panels of a similar size.

How does composite fencing perform in UK weather? Composite decking and fencing materials are designed to hold up well against the UK’s mix of rain, sun and temperature changes, without the swelling, warping or surface checking that timber can develop over time outdoors.

What maintenance does composite fencing need? Very little. An occasional brush to clear debris, and a rinse with a hose or a pressure washer on a low setting when needed, is generally enough to keep the fence looking presentable — no annual staining or sealing required.

What colours are available? Graphite Grey is available now. Teak and Charcoal Black are launching soon and will expand the range to three finishes, letting you match the fence to your existing decking or exterior colour scheme.

Do I need aluminium posts, or can I use my existing concrete posts? Both are available. Choose the Full Panel Kit if you’re building a new fence run and need posts supplied. Choose Panel Only if you already have concrete posts in place and just need new boards and fixing channels.

Can composite fencing be painted? It isn’t something we’d recommend. The composite material is designed to hold its colour and finish without additional treatment, and painting it isn’t something we’ve tested or can advise on with confidence.

How much does composite fencing cost? Price depends on the kit type (Full Panel Kit or Panel Only), the fence height you choose, and whether you add any Extra Post Kits. Select your options in the configurator above to see the exact price for your fence.

How many extra posts do I need? One extra post per continuous run, regardless of how many panels make up that run — for example, a run of 9 Full Panel Kits still only needs 1 extra post kit to close off the end. If you’re fencing more than one separate run in a single order, add the appropriate quantity in Step 4.
